Positive Reinforcement Isn't Just For Dogs

We get it! We as trainers, handlers, and dog guardians love to be rewarded for our hard work just as much as our dogs! That's why we continue to create unique programs, challenges, and title opportunities to encourage you to continue to work with your dog and serve as a fun reminder of how far you've come.

Earn More Titles, Earn More Honors

About the Honor Team Program

At Top Dog Behavior and Training, we love to reward you for all the hard work you put into your training! One of the ways we do that is through our Honor Team Program! The Honor Team Program awards dog/guardian teams that continue to take classes, earn titles, and grow together.

There are currently 4 levels of the Honor Team Program: Bronze Team, Silver Team, Gold Team, and Team of the Year! Each level has a set number of points that must be reached to achieve that honor and points are earned as you take classes, earn titles, and participate in challenges.

How to earn points towards your Honor Team Title:
Each class, title, or challenge will have the number of points awarded listed in the description, however most classes, titles, and challenges award the following points:
       Training Courses - 10pts
       Titles - 5pts
       Challenge - 5pts
       Workshops - 5pts
       Private Training Session - 2pts

Honor Team Title Requirements:
       Bronze Team: 20pts
       Silver Team: 30pts
       Gold Team: 40pts

Triple Crown Honor Title

Versatility in Training

The Triple Crown Honor Title rewards dog/guardian teams that show versatility by earning titles in 3 different categories.

Triple Crown Honor Titles are awarded at each of the different levels of difficulty, meaning that if you earn Novice level titles in 3 different categories, such as Foundations, Stunt Dog, and Trick Dog, you are eligible for your 'Novice Triple Crown' title.

Rescue of Honor / Breeder of Honor

The best way to say "Thank You" to your rescue or breeder

What better way to say "Thank You" to the rescue or breeder that connected you with your furry bestie than by honoring them with their own Honor Title and showing them all that you have accomplished!

These special Honor Titles combine your accomplishments with those in our community who have gone through the same rescue/breeder to help award these establishments with higher level Honor Titles. This means the more titles dogs from the same shelter or breeder earn, the higher the honor!

Once an Honor Title has been achieved, your breeder or shelter will be sent a Title Certificate, Award Ribbon, Thank You letter written on behalf of all the dogs who contributed to the title, and a list of all the dogs and their accomplishments that contributed to the title.

There are currently 4 levels of the Rescue/Breeder of Honor Program: Bronze Rescue/Breeder, Silver Rescue/Breeder, Gold Rescue/Breeder, and Rescue/Breeder of the Year! Each level has a set number of points that must be reached to achieve that honor and points are earned as you take classes, earn titles, and participate in challenges.

Humane Training

Essential to a well-adjusted, happy, and confident dog

In an unregulated industry such as dog training, it is important to know the facts regarding methodology and how tools and technique affect your dog's mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Both the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association have released statements addressing the benefits of humane training methods, and the unintentional fallout of more "traditional methods.
